Target stores recently announced their investigation into a security breach involving stolen credit and debit card information from their stores nationwide. The breach reportedly occurred between November 27th and December 15th and affects 40 million cards used during that time frame. Target has confirmed that this breach only affects cards used at their stores and does not affect purchases made through Target.com.
There have been no indications that Kentucky Neighborhood Bank customers have been directly impacted by this breach. KNB is currently in the process of contacting customers who used their KNB debit card at a Target location during that time period. We encourage you to review your account transactions closely for any unusual activity.
